We had to wait for December for this portrait session so we could avoid photographing Daddy’s crazy facial hair.:) I’m glad that sweet babe decided to stay put so we could squeeze in our session before he (or she) makes their arrival.  I can wait to meet & photograph this baby.  I’m almost certain it’s a girl.  *almost*

I’m obsessed with my daughters’ sweet tiny hands so whenever I’m photographing children, I try to somehow get a shot of their little hands too.  I really, really love this frame.

Kyla & Brian // San Diego Maternity Photographer

I’m sure many of you will recognize Kyla from her super cute bridal shower we posted here.  Well, her wedding was absolutely perfect (shot by the awesome Allie Lindsay here) and now they are expecting a sweet, sweet baby girl.  All of us who love and care for Kyla & Brian are so excited we can hardly stand it.  I’m thrilled to share these images with you.  I had the hardest time picking images for the blog because I loved all 60+ in her gallery.  Love. Love!!

It’s always a little scary when a client ask for something they saw on Pinterest but in this case it was very cute!!  I likey.  

Something really important that I try to do at maternity sessions is to take a break from the belly cuteness and focus on the romance between the couple.  There is so much love, excitement, and anticipation — it brings you closer  than anything else has.  Knowing that your love has created such magic is the most cozy feeling and I think it’s important to capture.  I love this series.
