The best part about photographing repeat clients is that they become your good friends. Since meeting Kasey & Mike, we’ve had beer & cupcakes together (wedding consult), spent the afternoon at the San Diego Zoo (engagement photos #1), took a stroll in Del Mar (engagement #2), designed albums, and discussed wedding timelines. I was lucky enough to photograph their two-part wedding day (here & here) so naturally, I was over the moon excited when they approached me to do maternity & newborn photos. I am so lucky to experience life’s greatest moments with people I really enjoy.
We decided to check out Raven Hill Apple Orchard in Julian. They were kind enough to let us in after hours so we had the place (and it’s gorgeous light) all to ourselves. Of course Kasey & Mike were cute as can be, as always. And we even stopped for comfort food, pie, and cider in a glass boot. Just another day at the office. I loved it.
Their baby girl came only days later so you’ll be seeing her sweet face very, very soon. :)

Love love love this family. Love!
I have a soft spot for families that are welcoming their second little girl. It was only a short year ago that we did the same, and I feel so, so lucky to witness the sweet love between these girls. It was a lovely day. I held a precious new baby, made a 2 year old giggle, saw a daddy love on his girls, and made new friends with a sweet mama.
Baby Charlotte was about a month old when we did these photos which is usually too far out to get a lot of sleepy shots but she was definitely an exception. She was perfect….and her big sis was full of smiles and love. We had a great time!!

I was 100% obsessed with her hair. Why can’t I just have toddler hair?? It’s always so beautiful.
