Urban Newborn // San Diego Newborn Photography

Oh my poor neglected blog. It got so busy (which is good!), but I’m thankful to have time to catch up in these coming weeks. Phew!

I always love having the chance to photograph the baby after doing the maternity photos & Sunny’s session was no exception. Urban was a total doll and we had a blast chatting about life with two. The newborn stage with a toddler in the home is certainly a different dynamic than having only one. More effort, but more love….but Sunny is already a pro. You’ll remember her from her maternity session here.:)

Nova & Chris Maternity #2 // San Diego Photographer

I was over the moon when Nova & Chris wanted to do a second maternity session down in Ocean Beach.  It was overcast and perfect; the light was just glowing.  She took us into a secret cave spot where she likes to rest during her workouts.  It was so beautiful…a little scary…hahaa…but beautiful.  Her dress was perfect against the green moss and charcoal rocks.  And of course Chris was adorable too.  Not all daddies are as engaged in the photography session as Chris is…not to mention he may have saved my life a few times.

Here are some of my favorites from the cave:

The best thing about photographing a photographer is that they come with fantastic location ideas in mind.  After we left the prettiest cave ever, we landed ourselves in a “Hidden Garden”.  It was crazy!  There were cute little antiques everywhere, a giant iron bedframe, cactus, flowers, water.  I must go back.

Chris found the baby carriage.  So appropriate.

I can’t wait to meet your little Baby Facie:) Can’t. Wait.  xo

Mamafest San Diego // Ticket Giveaway

It’s that time of year!

I’m  so excited to have a booth at the 5th Annual Mamafest this Friday at La Costa Resort & Spa.  Its a fun “Mama’s Night Out” event with food, swag, silent auction, drinks, and friends.  The best part is that 100% of the proceeds go directly to the San Diego Postpartum Health Alliance.  This is our first year as a vendor and we can’t wait to connect with local moms and learn about all the other local organizations.  My good friends from Murasaki Media & Baby Gurus will both have a booth so I know there will be some wonderful organizations among us.

Tickets can be purchased here, they are $20 in advance and $25 at the door….and here for FREE!  That’s right, I have one ticket to giveaway!  Just comment below and I’ll pick a random winner tonight!  :) I hope to see you there!

Kyla’s Alice in Wonderland Bridal Shower

Kyla and I go way back.  Back, back, back to her high school cheerleading career where I taught her how to do a back tuck and she broke my nose.  I do remember when she threw it at Varsity tryouts though and ended up getting one of the highest scores of the entire group.  So, it was worth it.  :)  Now she’s getting married (next weekend!) and she had the most incredible bridal shower I’ve ever seen.  So much thought and love was put into this – I was floored when I saw it.  And also VERY excited.  I was blowing through memory cards like it was nobody’s business.  It was gorgeous.

I’m so excited for you sweetie!  You will be the most beautiful bride.  We are all so proud of you and excited for what’s to come.  Good luck on your move, your new adventure, and your new life as a Barbie Wifey.  Love you!
